Robert is a Vice President at Building Industry Partners. He focuses on helping BIP’s portfolio company leaders optimize their operations and achieve their strategic plans, as well as building operator relationships and sourcing, analyzing, structuring, and executing new BIP platform and add-on investment opportunities.

Prior to joining BIP, Robert held senior executive management positions, including serving as the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy & Acquisitions and Vice President of Operations, at Comfort Systems, the second largest specialty contractor construction company in North America. Prior to joining Comfort Systems, Robert worked at American Infrastructure Funds, a middle-market private equity firm, where he focused on evaluating and executing investment opportunities within the construction and real property sectors. Prior to joining American Infrastructure Funds, Robert worked in investment banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and KeyBanc Capital Markets, where he focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions and leveraged finance transactions in the construction and industrials sectors.

Robert holds a B.A. with Honors from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. While attending Harvard Business School, Robert cofounded a construction building materials software company leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to automate procurement and facilitate trade credit financing for construction firms that is now backed by several prominent institutional investors, including: Y Combinator, NFX, and FJ Labs. He comes from a multi-generation construction family and grew up within the industry.
